Mary Genevieve Nugent

Raised and educated in East Boston, she was a graduate of Fitton Central High School and later attended the BU School for Dental Nursing. Gen worked as an Administrative Assistant for US Airways at Logan Airport for over twenty years.

She is survived by her three children, Sheila O’Neil and her husband Dennis of Swampscott, Kelly Keaney and her husband Mark of Marblehead, and Jay Nugent and his wife April of Newport Beach, CA; three sisters, Gail Tacelli of Salem, NH, Linda Romano of Newton, and Helen Ward of Haverhill; her brother, Lenny Ford of Melrose; and eight grandchildren, Seamus, Finn, and Tess Keaney, Chatham, Julia, and Garrett Nugent, and Maddie and Charlie O’Neil. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Friday, September 26 at 11AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Genevieve’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
