Lorraine Stevens

MARBLEHEAD - Mary “Lorraine” Stevens, age 92, of Marblehead, passed away on, Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John G. Stevens II with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Myrtle (Brown) Drolet.

She was the devoted mother of John G. Stevens III and his wife, Susan, Lori Falconer and her husband, Paul, Mark Stevens and the late Melanie Sparhawk; the cherished grandmother of Sandra J. Higgins and her husband, Thomas, John G. Stevens IV and the late Danielle G. Sparhawk; the great grandmother of Colin E. Higgins and the dear sister of Albert Drolet. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine grew up in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School with the class of 1949. She raised her family in Marblehead, was a receptionist for 10 years and a full time mother. She volunteered for nearly 30 years at the Essex Institute. She enjoyed her Boston terriers and time spent with her family and friends including in Barstead, New Hampshire.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead, 142 Elm Street.
