Lisa was born April 7, 1958 in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Rita Perry Sullivan LT JG USN ret, RN and the late Dr. John E. Sullivan Cdr. USN ret, D.D.S. Shortly after Lisa was born the family moved to Marblehead where Lisa remained a life-long resident. She attended Star of the Sea School, graduated from Marblehead High School Class of 1977, won the Wilhelmina Denning Jackson Art Scholarship as well as a full scholarship to Montserrat School of Art where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Lisa was a true artist, working in many different mediums. Her paintings could be found throughout Marblehead and in addition, she often donated her work to the Marblehead Festival of Arts auction. She was a familiar face about town having worked at Rosalie’s restaurant, Hestia, Good Wives as well as a Home Health Aid.
Lisa loved the water and often could be seen rowing around the waters of Marblehead as well as in the head of the Charles Regatta. Her love of water and her sensitive heart combined one day when she came to the assistance of a family by diving into Redd’s Pond to retrieve a model boat that had sunk.
In addition to rowing, Lisa loved to cook, bake, attend concerts, and was an avid recycler. She was also fond of playing the piano and taught herself to play by ear. One of her favorite pastimes was going for long walks around Marblehead with her dog, Harry, by her side.
Lisa will be remembered and missed by her sister, Mary Lucille Sullivan of Marblehead, her brother Jack Sullivan of Rockport, her sister Rita March, brother-in-law Raymond and niece Emmy of Marblehead, as well as numerous cousins. Lisa will be remembered and missed by many friends, in particular her loyal friend James H. Davenport and her beloved dog, Harry.
A memorial service is being planned for later in the spring. Arrangements by Eustis and Cornell of Marblehead.
