Gail (Greene) Doliber, 94, of Marblehead, passed away at the Devereux House on June 15, 2011. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Doliber II with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Grand Junction, CO, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Sadie (Dennis) Greene.
Gail was raised from the age of three in Marblehead by Josie and Cora (Tucker) Greene. She was a graduate of Marblehead High School, class of 1935. She was Trustee Emeritus for the Unitarian Universalist Church in Marblehead and leader of the 4H Club. Gail was an equestrian; she also enjoyed gardening, photography and crafts.
She is survived by two sons, Earl L. Doliber and his wife Faye of Danvers, and Howard Doliber III and his wife Sharon of Marblehead; three daughters, Hilary Doliber and her partner Sally Gould of Salem, Elaine Doliber, and Lea Doliber both of Marblehead; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Daisy Greene, Jane Burgin, and Hope Foss.
A memorial service is being planned for this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail’s memory to the Unitarian Universalist Church, Silver Trust Fund, 28 Mugford Street, Marblehead, MA 01945. Arrangements by the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, Marblehead.
