Beverly Mitchell

passed away in peace on March 26, 2015 at the Peabody Glenn Health Care Center in Peabody. She was the beloved wife of William George Mitchell, Jr. (Deceased 2000). She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Simons) Latham. She was predeceased by her Brother Robert Latham.

Beverly was a graduate of Marblehead High School class of 1946, Kent’s Hill, ME 1948 where she was Ski Team Captain. Employed at Daniel Lowe’s, Dory Cleaners, MSPCA Lighthouse Exchange, Jordan Marsh and Lynn Sand and Stone Co.

Beverly enjoyed telling stories about the Latham Farm in Pachaug, CT about riding horses, milk delivery and other activities. Beverly enjoyed Grace Oliver’s and Devereux beaches, traveling to Canada, England, Disney Land, watching Snow White with the grandkids and socializing with friends in the African Violet Society.

She is survived by sons, Robert William of Wakefield, MA, and John David of Easthampton, MA. She also leaves four grandchildren, Rebecca Kate, Alexander William, Thomas and Paul; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Zachary, Gabriel, and Zoi; and her sister, Phyllis Ide (Latham) of Wethersfield, CT. She also leaves behind relatives, Wesley, Steven, Fetoun, Muhammad and Ibrahim, Cote, Megan Ide, Pat, Mark, Linda and Gail Latham, and Peter Hammond. She was well cared for under the PACE program of Buffum Street, Lynn, and well cared for by many great neighbors.
