She resided in Nahant with her partner, Barry Markham, and was in Marblehead frequently for work and looking after her father, for whom she had long been his health care agent.
Beth Marie Robinson was born March 23, 1961 in Boston, Ma, the daughter of Edward Joseph Robinson, M.D. and Janet Gibson Robinson. Beth was 3 years old when her family moved to Marblehead in 1964, residing on Stacey St. Beth attended Gerry School, Bell School and Junior and Senior High School in Marblehead, graduating in 1979. Beth was best known for her easy manner and smile, her exceptional organizational skills, helping with class reunions and social events, and her effervescent laugh. Beth attended University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she studied journalism and communications and graduated in 1983 with a degree in Communications.
After graduating college, Beth moved to San Francisco and made her home there for 10 years. She became a manager in the hospitality world, and loved all that the city had to offer. Beth then moved to Florida for a few years where she took up tennis and became a beautiful tennis player on many women's teams. She moved back to Marblehead in 1995, and remained ,with a year's stint in American Samoa, until she moved to Nahant Ma with her love of 16 years, Barry. Beth became interested in computers and more specifically, social media, and became president of her own company, Beth Web Marketing. She was a media marketer, specializing in social media management and one-on-one teaching and training for small to medium size businesses. Her company flourished and she absolutely loved her clients and the forum.
Beth had a gift for friendship to which she was incredibly loyal, and stayed in close touch with her many Marblehead friends. Beth loved photography, music, social media, and after a hilarious start in Girl Scouts, enjoyed recreational skiing. Beth was a proud, beautiful, intelligent, always interesting person, with a confident , warm personality. She was always there to meet all she encountered with her beautiful smile that lit up a room.
Beth leaves behind her father, Edward Joseph Robinson M.D., her mother Janet Gibson Robinson, her brothers, Edward Jr., Perry Gibson, and Christopher David, her niece, Micaela and her nephew, Eliot Robinson as well as her partner, Barry L. Markham and her lifelong best friend, Molly Booth Waniak.
A Celebration of Beth's Life will be held on Monday, June 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Beacon Restaurant, 123 Pleasant Street, Marblehead; All are welcome!
