William Monroe (W.M.) Williamson was born on July 1, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Wiley Monroe Williamson & Lena Mae Lowery. He had 5 sisters: Dorothy Virginia Clinton, Monetta Mae Bollom, Wilma Fay Pavelka, Mable Jo Patton, and Gladys Gwendolyn Atkinson.
On December 7, 2022 at the age of 84, he was called Home to be with the Lord. W.M. was a family man, nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a hard worker all his life. He served in the Army for 3 years. He worked in the oil field for many years – across Texas & in Alaska. His true passion was operating heavy equipment. At the age of 77, he was still proficient enough to cut a grade with a maintainer for an RV storage facility. He was exhausted at the end of each day, but he truly loved being able to operate a machine again. He was even offered the opportunity to come back when the facility expanded in the future. He really enjoyed it and was very good at it. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, hiking, dancing, snowmobile racing, searching for gold in mines and pretty much anything that involved being outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends at the river, fish fries, barbecues, or just playing cards & dominoes. He met the love of his life, Irene Pabst in March of 1957. They married 3 months later on June 16, 1957 in Brady, Texas. They traveled the world working and exploring until their daughter Monique was born. After she was born, they moved back to Texas so that Monique could be raised around family. Monique was their pride and joy.
W.M. is survived by his precious dog, Angel – whom he loved dearly. His daughter Monique Williamson and husband Randy of Marble Falls, Texas. His grandson Kyle Williamson and wife Shannon of Bertram, Texas. His granddaughter Kayla Young and husband Cody of Kingsland, Texas. His great-grandchildren: Kinley, Kooper, Gunner, Brinley, Wesley, and numerous nieces & nephews.
He will be missed dearly, but he is no longer in pain. Until we meet again – We all love you PapPaw.
