Nubby Woodall was born May 5, 1941, in Brady, Texas and passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 16, 2025 in Marble Falls, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruth Wilson, and the love of her life, her husband, Beverly Woodall Sr. Also, sister, Beth Cuthbertson, brother, Fred Wilson, niece, Robbie Morales and nephew, Rusty Wilson.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as well as an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Nubby was blessed to have had many close lifelong friends who were like family to her in every way.
Nubby moved to Baytown with her family when she just a small girl. She often talked about the good times she had growing up in the community of Baytown. During this time she met the man she would marry Beverly (Woody) Woodall Sr. Woody and Nubby were married for over 50 years and built a wonderful life together.
Nubby is survived by her son Tex and wife Ruth Woodall, daughter Toni and husband Jay Rosenbaum. Grandchildren: Jessica and husband Josh Wooten, Justin and wife Misty Woodall, Brandon and wife Jenna Rosenbaum, Lauren Lox, and Matt and wife Allison Rosenbaum. She is also survived by her precious great grandchildren: Addison, Jackson and Emerson Wooten, Wilson and Peyton Woodall, John and William Rosenbaum and Luca Massee.
Nubby owned Barbers Hill Florist for many years. She enjoyed being a florist and made hundreds of football mums over the years. Making beautiful arrangements was her passion. She never wanted to disappoint her clients and spent many hours making sure each arrangement was perfect. She specialized in floral design for weddings and made many brides’ special day perfect.
Nubby enjoyed spending time with her friends, gardening and traveling. She loved her church family and attending Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist church was important to her. Nubby especially enjoyed when her friends and neighbors stopped by for coffee.
Community involvement was important to Nubby and she was a charter member of the Chambers County Pilot Club where she served as a Director and was also a Sweetheart.
Nubby enjoyed supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their sports and activities. She was their biggest cheerleader and always helped build their confidence with a big smile!
Nubby will be remembered for her “big personality in a small package”. Even in her last days she was loved by the staff at Arbor House and was known as “Sassy”. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
We appreciate the loving care extended to Nubby by the staff of Arbor House in Marble Falls. They always went above and beyond for Nubby and even knew how to fix her the perfect cup of coffee. A very special thank you to Jackie King, Jennifer Burke and Glena Burkes for their loving kindness and personal relationship with Nubby.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Nubby on Saturday, April 26th, at Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 with the service immediately following. Graveside inurnment will be at Memory Gardens.
