Ruth lived in Redondo Beach, California during WWII, and moved to Marble Falls in 1970 where she retired from Gould Electronics. She then moved to Grapevine in 2003.
Ruth was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outside planting vegetables, flowers, weeding and maintaining her flower beds and helping her neighbors with their flowers.
Ruth enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren and great granddaughters. She loved working crossword puzzles, reading the Bible and Western books by William W Johnstone.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, W. Weldon Phillips, her parents John and Emma (Jackson) Masters, her brothers John, Perry, James, and Leonard Masters, her sister Mordena Masters Puulie and grandson, Derek Allan Phillips.
She is survived by her son, Conley E. Phillips (Kay), her daughter, Deborah C. (Phillips) Cox (Kirby II), her sister, Catheryne Mitchell, granddaughter Carlin (Phillips) Hale, grandsons Brandon K. Phillips (Maggie), Kirby H. Cox III (Logan), Jeremiah T. Cox (Lauryn), Nathaniel R. Cox (Brittany), and great granddaughters, Mia G. K. Hale, Daphne F. Phillips and Raylan G. Cox.
She was loved by everyone she met. Her sweet soul will be missed by all who knew her.
