A graduate of Marble Falls High School, Ronny served in the US Navy and then worked as a mechanic and ran a business with his father in Marble Falls before starting a heating and air business in the 90’s. He was elected Burnet County Commissioner, Precinct 3, serving 4 terms, and retired in 2016 from what was by far his favorite and most rewarding job, serving the community. He was a Board member for CARTS, the Burnet County Library, Burnet County Historical Commission and a boat race volunteer. He was an accomplished fisherman, winning many competitive events; enjoyed golf and traveling the country with his wife and his four legged furry baby, Dosi. Ronny attended Walnut Methodist Church in Round Mountain.
Ronny is survived by his wife, and love of his life, Linda Garrett Hibler; his son Randy (Valerie); his bonus sons Brandon (Suzy) and Jeremy (Mandy) Daugherty; sister Donna (Dewey) Hollingsworth; brother Ricky (Terry) Hibler; grandchildren Samuel “Dusty” Hibler; Amber Hibler; Sam, Clara, Ellen and Deaglan Daugherty; his son’s mother, Judy Schuessler of Llano, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Maybelle, his sister, Cheri and his eldest grandson, Randall Hibler, Jr.
