Becky graduated from Humboldt State University and did her graduate work at the University of Utah with a focus on Literature and Family History Studies.
Throughout her life while being a wife and mother she was a supervisor at the Texas Welfare Department and Assistant Dean of Students at Westminster College. She founded and served as CEO of Southwest Education, an educational software company that touched the lives of people worldwide.
She loved to travel, looking for her roots in Ireland, and genealogical research was her passion. Training and teaching in that area of her life brought her great joy. She was certified as a Family History Consultant, a Certified Master Gardener, and an avid birdwatcher. She loved gardening, fishing and spending time on the lake.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in numerous positions over her lifetime, from overseeing at various times the Relief Society Women’s organization, Young Woman’s organization and Primary (3-12-year olds), she was also a Family History Missionary available to teach the general public. Service was just a part of who Becky was.
While working as the Director of the California Youth Soccer Association, she met and married her beloved husband Ben 41 years ago.
She is survived by her husband Ben Rodriguez, brother Denton Foster of California, sons Tim Rodriguez and Kevin Sheridan, daughter Mary Munro, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
If anything, else, Becky wanted everyone to remember that Families Can be Together Forever so cherish every moment with them.
