He worked as a trucking owner/operator, he worked in farming and ranching and was a home builder in the Highland Lakes area. Norman was also an airplane pilot.
Norman served in the United States Army from 1953 – 1955 during the Korean War, serving in Company C, 50th Armored Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division, 1st Platoon, and the Army Corps of Engineers. He loved to fish and hunt and he loved to work.
Norman and Mary Guiles Welch Bain married on August 18, 1995, in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ann Guiles Bain and his sisters Frankie ElWanda Bain Bradbury and Margaret Laverne Bain Hiller.
Norman is survived by his son, Leslie Earl Bain, his brother, Monte (Gwen) Bain, grandchildren Sarah Bain, Benjamin Bain, Jordan Davis, Matt Davis and Jake Davis, great grandchildren Brileigh Bain, Raleigh Matthew Davis, Radley James Davis, Jameson Danger Davis and Johnny Maverick Davis as well as many nieces and nephews.
