Nancy was born on August 17, 1951 in Glendale, California, the daughter of Robert and Betty Sylvester. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico with 1 younger brother.
In May, 1973, Nancy graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Elementary Education. On August 29, 1999, Nancy married her loving husband, John Blake in Austin, Texas. Nancy and John moved to Granite Shoals in 2004. Sadly, John passed away in January, 2010.
Nancy was a member of the Daughters of The Republic of Texas.
She is survived by her brother Barry and his wife Liza, nephew Cameron and niece Kaycee, all of Granite Shoals; other relatives and many close friends.
A memorial service for Nancy is planned at Grace United Methodist Church, June 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm. Entombment will be at a later date at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
