Joe Clark passed away in Kingsland, Texas after a long struggle with cancer. He was born June 21, 1939 to Judge O.R. and Juliette A. Clark in New York. He was preceded in death by wife, Edna Ann Clark, son, Joseph Vincent Clark Jr, his parents and grandparents. He is survived by wife Valerie Kroha Clark, son, Bradley Scott Clark, daughter, Tina Rene Clark, many grand and great grandchildren, sister, Susan Clark Byerly, and brother, Orshen Roy Clark as well as many other near and dear family relatives. Joe Clark was a loving father and “Papa” to his family. His friends will remember his great sense of humor and how much he loved to play guitar and sing. He enjoyed all of the many friends and family he and Valerie had both in Texas and California.
Joe graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso, Texas and served in the US Air Force. He was a retired Lieutenant from the El Paso Police Department where he also served as a Motorcycle Officer, “Motor 61”, for many years. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the University of Texas at El Paso. Joe loved police work and when he moved to Marble Falls he became the Chief of Police for Horseshoe Bay where he helped create the police department. Joe was a member of Masonic Lodge 1111 in El Paso, and Granite Shoals Eagle Lodge.
Joe owned and operated Circle C Locksmiths in Marble Falls for several years, working throughout the Hill Country. Joe loved Country music and frequently played guitar and sang with his friends. He also loved karaoke and made several CD’s for family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kingsland Community Church at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017. He will be buried in the Tobey Cemetery near Marble Falls.
