Hershel D. “Derry” Hiett of Marble Falls, Texas, formerly of El Dorado and Calion, Arkansas, passed from this life into the waiting arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, on October 19, 2022, in Austin, Texas, following a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena Pearl Watts of Smackover, his father, Hershel D. “Dick” Hiett of Calion, and his brother-in-law Kyle J. “Butch” McCoy.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Marcia Love Hiett, his 3 children, A. Bianca Johnson (Jeff), Jennifer Hiett Allen (Tori), Michael Joseph Hiett (Kayla), his step-children Galyn Love Woerner (Cord), Lance L. Wooldridge, and Jason Wooldridge, his sister, Brenda McCoy, two nephews and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life event to be held in his honor will be announced at a later date.
