Elizabeth “Libby” A. Kast, 78, of Bertram, Texas, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, the 21st of November. She was born in Beaumont, TX, on the 12th of November, 1946, to her parents Norman Brashers and Bernice Brasher (Shaver).
Libby was a devoted wife and caring aunt. She was a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from college, Libby went on to earn her Master's Degree.
Libby enjoyed taking care of her ranch and pets, as well as reading, art, and travel.
A private visitation for family will be held on Monday, the 25th of November, 2024. A private burial will follow.
Libby is survived by her sister, Myrna Burrow of Moss Bluff, LA; her sister-in-law, Kathy Brashers of Athens, TX; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Bishop of Arkansas; as well as her nieces and nephews, Charles Jeffreys of San Antonio, TX; Charlotte Hayes of Jefferson, ME; Rebecca Couverette of San Antonio, TX; Scott Jeffreys of San Antonio, TX; Susan Steele of Nederland, TX; Jeanie Vail of Moss Bluff, LA; Pam Pickett of McKinney, TX; Denise Stamatis of Groves, TX; and Kevin Brashers of Groves, TX. She is also survived by numerous cousins and other family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kast; her parents Norman and Bernice Brashers; her sister Norma Jeffreys, and her brothers Michael Brashers, and James Edward Brashers.
