Born in Ojo de Agua de Solano Cuidad Fernandez, San Luis Potosi, Mr. Galvan had lived in Granite Shoals for 23 years. To assure that his mother and family were provided for, he only attended the first few years of school to allow himself to work hard in the fields.
A milestone was reached when he became a US citizen on March 26, 2019 which was a big accomplishment in his life. He gave 17 years of his hardworking life working for Vulcan Materials Company and was also recognized by his employer in which he worked countless, effortless hours. He was always a very cheerful, hardworking person and managed to stay positive about every obstacle thrown at him. He focused on helping others around him and pushed for success.
Dagoberto was a big fan of soccer, baseball and boxing. When it came to boxing, he would always say, “Que gane el Mexicano aunque no lo conozca.” He enjoyed watching his children play sports and would be sure to be sitting at the side lines as much as possible.
Religion was extremely important in his household and attending church, religious meetings, retreats and Sunday services were a strive to get closer to God.
Mr. Galvan enjoyed being outdoors and loved animals including his horses, chickens and goats.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Isabel Galvan & brothers, Joel Galvan & Servando Galvan.
Dagoberto is survived by two sisters, Antonia (Raul)Valles, Luisa (Jeronimo) Galvan and one brother, Jesus Galvan; four sons, Servando Torres, Dagoberto Galvan Jr, Adolfo Galvan, Joel Galvan; 1 daughter, Jaqueline Galvan & 5 grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held November 21, 2020, at St John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 105 FM-1431, Marble Falls, TX 78654 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m November 21, 2020, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 180 US-281, Marble Falls, TX 78654 and will precede the Cremation.
Funeral services are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
