He served in the US Army and was very proud of his service. He always had a story to tell about his time in Germany and other locations overseas.
Bryan was married to Gracie Belk on June 27, 1953 and they shared 64 years together and three children. He and Gracie moved to Marble Falls in 1973. He worked for the city of Austin and LCRA. After he retired from LCRA, he later went on to retire from MFISD and Ace Hardware. He was a member of the Marble Falls Church of Christ for 50 years, serving as Deacon for 38 of those years.
Bryan was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Belk, his parents Bennie and Gertrude Belk, brother, Louis Belk, two sisters, Benny Ward and Louise Bracewell and nephews, Milton Weber and James Belk.
He is survived by his sister Juanette Weber, his three children and their spouses, including Bryan W. Belk (Rhonda) of Burnet, Texas, Glenda Taliaferro (Jerry) of Marble Falls, Texas, and Virgil Belk (Brenda) of Johnson City, Texas. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and spouses, including Brandon Belk (Kasey), Tiffany Frisch (Michael), Brittney Villarreal (Jimmy), Krissy Sralla (Timothy), Shawn Moore (Lisa), Jason Belk (Elizabeth) and Logan Belk (Alexis) as well as 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was known for his steadfast faith in the Lord, and love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
