Born October 7, 1933 in Pilgrim, Kentucky he was the son of Floyd and Larna (Fields) Muncy. Bill retired from Empire Detroit Steel after 33 years of service and was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed repairing bicycles and trading, buying, selling and dealing in old and antique cars.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie (Owens) Muncy; a daughter, Judy (Steve) Hogue of Cincinnati; a son, William R. (Bonnie) Muncy of Crestline; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; his Yorkie, Sugar; and all his special aids at Crestwood Care Center, especially “Cricket”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Donald and Larry Ronald Muncy; and a dear cousin, Jack Muncy.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at Dean Road Free Will Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett and Rev. Virgil Masters. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
