William graduated from Ashland High School. Among other jobs he worked at Possum Run Greenhouse where he met his future wife, Audra Annett Carr, whom he married on December 19, 1998 in Butler, Ohio. They welcomed a son, Ozzy Leonard Dingus in 2000. William worked at Wade & Gatton Nursery for nearly 20 years where he met many wonderful customers and respected friends and workmates, some of whom he continued to work with most recently at Wade Gardens.
William was Baptized on August 12, 2012 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cleveland, Ohio at the "Safeguard Your Heart" District Convention. William had a deep faith in Jesus Ransom Sacrifice buying back what Adam lost and he shared that hope with others to give them comfort. His hope is to live on earth in perfect health (with both full arms) as his God, Jehovah intended for humans originally.
William was an awesome and loving father and husband. He was ornery with a very easy going personality. He valued his relationships and was a hard worker.
He is survived by his wife, Annett Dingus of Bellville; a son, Ozzy Dingus of Butler and his girlfriend Natalie Scherpenisse of Mansfield; his father, Leonard Dingus of Butler; his mother and stepfather, Brad and Christina Ranshaw of Butler; his brother, Wesley Dingus of Butler and his family; his stepbrother, Brian Ranshaw of Butler and his family; mother-in-law, Sharon Carr of Bellville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Ruth Carr and family of Mansfield, Ashland and Columbus; sister-in-law, Angela Carr and family of Michigan and Colorado; brother- in-law, Chad Carr and long time partner Ashley Titlow of Butler along with many cherished friends and family.
