Virginia Faulkner, 85, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, December 3, 2005, at Lexington Court Care Center after a brief illness. Born October 6, 1920, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George and Pearl Ambrose Bohrer. Mrs. Faulkner retired in 1982 from Stone Containers after 28 years of service. She attended Cook Road Baptist Church and enjoyed painting and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Marion L. Faulkner; two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlene and John Lee of Mansfield and Iris Chandler of Savage, Minnesota and; two grandchildren and their spouses, Brian and Lesa Oackes and Cheryl and Aaron Brumit; great-grandchildren, Braden and Caleb Oackes, Matt and Danielle Carpenter and Lauren and Ashley Brumit; sister, Iona Gallion of Woodbridge, Virginia; and a half sister, Odessa Griffith of Hagerstown, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Henry Bohrer, three half brothers, Floyd, Raymond and Clarence Bohrer, and half sister, Mildred McCoy.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Jack Hackworth. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
