Virginia Bright

Virginia Jean Bright, 88, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born February 1, 1922 in Mansfield to Edward and Carrie Foster, joining three siblings, Edward and Robert Foster, and Marjorie Foster Esto, all of whom preceded her in death. She married Gene Bright, her husband of 52 years, in 1941, losing him to cancer in 1993. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Joyce Miles of Mansfield; one grandson, Sam Miles of Mansfield; and one granddaughter, Dana Miles and her spouse, Marla Miragliotta of Columbus.

Virginia's friends and family may first remember her for her warmth and hospitality, her cooking skills, her laughter, and her ready shoulder to lean on, but she was also a fine self-taught artist, seamstress, and most important of all, a loving and memorable mother, grandmother, and aunt. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Burial will be held at a later date in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
