Valerie Osborne, age 64, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 8, 1955 in Mansfield, Ohio to Charles and Katherine (Panyik) Arnold. She had been a resident of Mansfield, Ohio her entire life.
Valerie was a head cook at Short-Ribs. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her holiday cookie platters that she would make for her family and friends. She enjoyed going on shopping adventures and taking trips up to the lake to visit her daughter, Danielle. Her greatest joy was her family. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and husband of 46 years.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Osborne; three daughters, Dawn Osborne, Lora Clark and Danielle (Tanya) Barnett; five grandchildren, Luke Clark, Jaheim Osborne, Ayonnã Osborne, Zac Clark and Cierra Taylor Osborne; two sisters, Pam Alig (Boyd) and Kathleen Arnold; one brother, Tim Arnold; sisters-in-law, Dee Dee Osborne, Denise (Larry) Cooper and Sharon Osborne; and special friend, Stacey Arnold.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Katherine Arnold; father and mother-in-law, John and Frances (McFadden) Osborne; sister, Rebecca Frye; brother-in-law, Dwight Osborne; son-in-law, Rodney Clark; and stepmother, Mae Arnold.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the McElroy Road Church of Christ, 297 North McElroy Road. The family would like to make mention that all are welcome to join them for a meal in celebrating the life of Valerie following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Osborne family to help aid in the funeral expense. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the family.
