Thomas E. Mabry, 84, of Mansfield died early Friday morning, February 21, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Mabry was born August 22, 1918 in Elliott County, Kentucky to Willis and Mary Wagner Mabry and was a Mansfield area resident most of his life. He retired from Westinghouse after 32 years of service. Thomas was a member of the Hanna Road Church of God. He was also a member of I.U.E. Local 711 and an avid antique collector of radios and fans.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Heater Mabry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Roger Metz and Debbie and Steve Jaynes, all of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Delfina Mabry of Mansfield, Garry and Sandy Mabry of Lexington, Ohio, and Mike and Rose Mabry of Mansfield; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Scaggs of Mansfield; and two brothers, Carl Mabry of Mansfield and Willis Mabry, Jr., of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Myrtle Mabry in June 1992; daughter, Wilma Kay Evans; and sister, Gladys Cox.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, February 23 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Floyd Scaggs will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanna Rd. Church of God.
