Shirley "Mrs. Joe" Thompson, 79, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Liberty Nursing Center. She was born on August 18, 1938 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Fred and Letha Jean (Pritchard) Giesman.
Shirley is survived by her son, Joe (Chyrle) Thompson; grandchildren, Vickie and Brad Thompson; great-grandchildren, Remington and Hannah Thompson; sister, Joan Cameron of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother, Ronald (Carol) Geisman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and love of her life, Joseph Thompson Jr. of which they shared a love of racing together; and a brother, Gary Geisman.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Butler, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, take a loved one to a race or tractor show. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Shirley Thompson.
