A homemaker, she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her children and grandchildren dearly, as their happiness was most important to her. She was a wonderful cook and was always bringing the family together for gatherings. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting and enjoyed spending time at Lake Erie and Chaska Beach. She also enjoyed spring and summer so she could spend time outside planting her flowers and loved her fur babies and great fur babies.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Ervin whom she married September 24, 1966; her children, Brad (Melissa) Ervin, Monte Ervin and Shelley (Robert) Caltrider; grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Ervin, Joscelyn, Dane and Autumn Ervin, Taylor Zody, Hunter Caltrider and Callie Caltrider; sister, Darlene (George) Yoakam; and a brother-in-law, Dave (Christina) Ervin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Ervin; and a brother, Bob Heston.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Pastor Wayne Parshall. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Disabled Veterans of America or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
