Sabrina "Bena" Lynn Hammond

She was a very giving person and was always quick to help others. Her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren, were most special to her and Sabrina always made time for each and every one of them. She had a strong, determined will and overcame many obstacles throughout her life. Sabrina had a soft spot for animals and was a devoted OSU Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. A movie buff, she looked forward to the new releases out every Tuesday.

Sabrina leaves behind her mother, Stella Sublett Woodyard; father, Quentin (Edie) Hammond; two children, Ashley (Todd) Hobson and Dakota Hammond; five grandchildren, Kayliee Hugett, Ryliee Hobson, Gavin Hobson, Landon Hammond and Liam Hammond; a sister, Kimberly Botdorf; a step sister, Gina Bettgnies; a step brother, Robert (Kathy) Peck; a niece, Tawnee (Jake) Botdorf; two nephews, Terry (LaLa) Botdorf and Tyler (Ashlea) Botdorf; and many other cherished family members.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth "Granny" Pauline Sublett; maternal grandfather, Jesse S. Sublett; paternal grandmother, Oneida Nadine Hammond; and paternal grandfather, Thomas Edison Hammond.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Travis McKenzie will follow at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Franklin Cemetery.
