Rose A. Olivieri, 80, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Hospice House in Ashland. Born March 21, 1929, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna Delsera Lupica. She retired from Therm-O-Disc and was a member of St. Mary's of the Snows Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and served on the Rosary Altar Society. Rose was also a member of the VFW and had ushered at the Renaissance Theater. She had a passion for cooking good Italian food and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia David Reiff of Columbus and Sandra Chris Carney of Mansfield; a son, James Olivieri of Columbus; two grandchildren, Jessica Carney of Mansfield and Andrew Reiff of Cincinnati; two great grandchildren, Joshua Jeffers and Jacob Reddix; and a brother, Joseph Joyce Lupica of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Lupica; two sisters, Angela Siclare and Teresa Weible; and a nephew, Dominic Siclare.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44805. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at St. Mary's of the Snows Catholic Church conducted by Father Keith McCormack. Private burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Sagamore Hills, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Mary's of the Snows Catholic Church.
