Ronald Pickett

Ronald Allen Pickett, 73, of Mansfield, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at Cleveland Clinic. Born November 22, 1935 in Norwalk, he was the son of Merle and Doris Jones Pickett. He graduated from Madison High School and served in the Air National Guard. Ronald was a certified quality engineer who worked and retired from Therm-O-Disc in 1998. He previously had worked for over 20 years at Hartman Electric. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Ronald enjoyed computer activities and was interested in all electronics.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Zimmerman Pickett of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Vicki Pickett of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Tracy and Donna Pickett, and Todd and Kathy Pickett, all of Olmstead Falls, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Cory, Darci, Matt, Zach, Alex, Ryan, and Katelyn; and brother and sister-in-law, Merle D. and Marge Pickett of Perrysburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Brad Pickett.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
