A homemaker, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had previously worked at Woolworth Department Store, Laser Realty and the Mansfield News Journal. She enjoyed reading, shopping, walking around furniture stores, going out to eat and working in her garden. Roberta loved to create things, especially crafts, having made decorations for Halloween and Christmas. She was always taking care of her family and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by four children, Pat (Mel) Sutton of Shelby, Donald (Dee) Daugherty of Mansfield, Dennis (Sandy) Daugherty of Wisconsin and Michael (Linda) Daugherty of Tennessee; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren with another two on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Daugherty in 1996; and two sisters, Mae English and Floe Fromm.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Robert Stull. Friends may call from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery at a later date.
