Robert L. Shoup, 77, of Ontario, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield following a brief illness.
Born January 18, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio he was the son of Russell and Ethel (Steigerwald) Shoup. A workaholic, Bob started working for the county at the age of 16 where he learned to operate cranes and retired from Kokosing Construction on November 20, 1998 after 14 ½ years of service as a crane operator. He enjoyed working in his yard and was proud that he was known for his pristine lawn.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen (Randy) Dobbin; a grandchild, Elijah Dobbin; a sister, Thelma (Cecil) Bazley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Shoup and a sister, Naomi Pollock.
Per Bob’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation will take place.
