Robert Koser

A 1955 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Robert had managed several area bars including King’s Tavern, Nick’s Place, Blue Goose Tavern, and the Ritz Nite Club. He had also worked at one time for Spitzer Auto Sales, Borden Auto Sales in Ashland, and part time at Clark Gas Station. Robert was an avid sports fan especially of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, Cavs, and Indians.

He is survived by his wife, Carroll (Rush) Koser of Mansfield; son, Richard Alan (Maria) Koser of Mansfield; grandson, Christopher; sisters, Leona (James) Hunter of Mansfield and Lynda Windsor of Huber Heights; nieces and nephews, Valerie (Alan) Liston, Steve (Glenda) Hunter, and Lutisha Windsor; step daughters Rhonda (Brian) Peacock of Ashland and their daughter, Ashley Marie Peacock; step sons, Ricky Lee (Diane) Buzzard and Harvey Earl (Dawn) Buzzard, Jr. and their children, Ricky Lee Buzzard, Jr. and MacClain Buzzard. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Lee Koser.

Friends may call Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
