Robert was born and raised in Mansfield, and worked as a carpenter at Empire-Detroit Steel for 31 years. Robert also served in the U.S. Navy in WWII.
Robert is survived by his son, Terry (Vicky) Bishop; his daughter, Cathy Bishop; grandchildren, Jamie Bishop, Sarah Bishop, Nickolas Bishop, and Breanna Bishop; sisters, Marsella Burnhart, and Angie Boyle; one brother, Donny Boyle; and great-granddaughters, Madison Bishop, and Taylor Smith.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Bernice Bishop; one brother, Russell Bishop; and two sons, Jeff Bishop and David Bishop.
A graveside service will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
