So sad to see that you've passed away Robert, we served in the Army at Fort Benning Georgia from 1961, while I was discharged in Nov.1963 then you were deployed to Viet Nam and sent me pictures while you were there. We had a reunion around 1965 with Dick D"Andrea & his wife Lucille in New York but lost touch with each other after that and you went back to Galion Ohio. I still have your letters and photos which prompted me to reach out to you, so sorry I was too late. Rest in Peaceful sleep old buddy, we shared many good times together. Tommy Ivors.

The thing I remember most about Bob was his smile and the way he always seemed able, at least at 17, to find something to laugh about no matter what the situation.  He could make me smile just watching him.  I enjoyed so much our later in life conversations, only two.  One so many years ago when I came into the store after church for the Plain Dealer as so many of us did, the other some 40 years later at a class reunion.  I'll miss you Bob, but I'll always remember your smile.

Sue and Family, Ken and I are so sorry for your loss and send our love and prayers. Ken rembembers alot of good times with Bob and has thought about them often. We both will keep those fun times in our memories.

Although I hadn't seen Bob for many years the memories are fond and strong. We were Galion High classmates, Boy Scouts together in Troop 1, and good friends after high school who used to hang out at his sister Nancy's. Bob had an incredible sense of humor. Everyone who knew him loved him. God rest his soul.

The name and infamous nickname were truncated before.

I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing.My Dad,Roger, has been friends with Bob for very long time. I remember Bob going to Cedar Point with Dad and me and my friend a few times when I was in school.He was such a kind and funny guy! Dad is going to miss his many evenings he's had having coffee with Bob.Seemed like they did it every Friday night! I know he will miss him dearly.
