Richard "Dick" Dean Hannan, Jr.

Richard "Dick" Dean Hannan, Jr., 74, of Galion, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born November 6, 1941 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of Richard Dean Hannan, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Sanderson) Hannan.

A veteran of the United States Navy, he worked for Tappan for 26 years until their closing and briefly for Hi-Stat. He enjoyed taking care of his six dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Rowland) Hannan; children, Robin (Jeremy) Patterson of Logan, Ohio, Elizabeth (Tony) Keller, Richard D. Hannan, III and Charles Hannan all of Galion, Ohio; grandchildren, Caitlyn (Chad) Hall, Abigail Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, Jr., Andrew Patterson, Tyler Oxer, Amber Keller, Emaleigh Keller and Merrick Swango; a sister, Judy Shambaugh of Mansfield; a brother-in-law, Robert Grillo of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hannan and a sister, Carol Grillo.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church, 919 West Thrush Avenue, Crestline, Ohio 44827. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church.
