Richard Beiwinkler, 77, of Mansfield, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at his residence. Born July 11, 1933, in Towarischevo, Yugoslavia, he was the son of Wendelin and Maria Peter Beiwinkler. Coming to the United States in 1956, he worked in carpentry and for the Charles Hoffman Company, then working for and retiring from Mike Volk Company where he was a foreman. He was a member of the Liederkranz and enjoyed stamp collecting, reading about history and telling stories of the old country. He also enjoyed soccer, tennis, football, baked goods, gardening and woodworking.
Surviving are two daughters, Monika Steve Long of Mansfield and Sonja Isaacs of Port St. Lucie, FL; a son, Ronald Beiwinkler of Mansfield; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Beiwinkler; grandchildren, Candy Beiwinkler, Jason Cronebaugh, Heidi Mounts, Rachel Cronebaugh, Jessica Beiwinkler, Stephanie Isaacs, Kenny Isaacs, Alexis Beiwinkler and Anthony Long; six great grandchildren; a brother, Rudolph Elaine Beiwinkler of London, Ontario, Canada; a niece, Cyndi Burrows; a nephew, Robert Gidget Beiwinkler; and several European relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Ottilia Hofsaess Beiwinkler; a son, Richard and a brother, Robert.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Deacon Terry Philpott. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
