Rex McClure

Rex Robert McClure, 76, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, December 16, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. McClure was born April 12, 1925 in Perrysville, Ohio. He worked thirty-nine years as an assemblyman at Mansfield Sanitary Pottery before retiring.

Robert was a member of the moose Lodge #341 and AARP.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, Nettie Radabaugh McClure, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Patty Slaton of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Angela, Kristen and Daniel; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Miller and Mary Smaltz of Mansfield; and good neighbors, Smoke and Millie Burris of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Dewitt McClure, brothers, Kenny, Carl, Howard and Lawrence sisters, Twila and Cordelia.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday, December 18 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Michael Mack. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
