Rev. James K. Wagoner, 68, of Crestline died Sunday, April 7, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Rev. Wagoner was born March 30, 1934 in Carter County, Kentucky living in the Crestline area since 1965. He was a State Bishop for the United Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. James also retired from Peabody of Galion as a supervisor.
He is survived by his wife Ethel D. Catron Wagoner; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy K. DeVault of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Joyce & Robert O'Brian of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Stephania Wagoner of Crestline; seven grandchildren, Nichole, Jason, Chad, Brandon, Veronica, Mathew and Andrew; two sisters, Opal Lemaster of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Mary Henderson of Crestline; one brother, Haskell Wagoner of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and special cousin, Oscar Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Peachie Cox Wagoner; and a brother, Arthur Wagoner.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services to be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Faith Assembly, 258 Stadium St., Mansfield conducted by Pastor Robert O'Brian and Bishop Kenneth Brown. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery of Crestline. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
