Raymond Finefrock

Raymond G. Finefrock, 64, of Mansfield, died Monday evening, September 5, 2005, at Mansfield MedCentral Hospital after an extended illness. Born November 19, 1940, in Canton, he was the son of Harry A. and Pauline L. Burkhart Finefrock. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1959 and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Finefrock retired from the Accounting Department at General Motors after 38 years. Through the years, he enjoyed coaching and watching his children play sports. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and gardening. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his 4 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Smith Finefrock; one daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Jim Christina of Cartersville, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Neera 'Ranee' Finefrock of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Mick McGrew of Mansfield; grandchildren, Alex, Rachel, and A.J. Christina and Madin Finefrock; nieces and nephew, Sara Anderson and Stacy Seib, and David Osbun of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Michael Finefrock.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina victims.
