Peggy L. Toney, 68, of Mansfield, died Monday morning, May 29, 2006, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Peggy was born December 17, 1937, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Horace and Winnie Lawhon. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of AARP.
Surviving is her husband of forty-five years, John Toney of Mansfield; a son, Bryan Scott Toney of Mansfield; a daughter, Helen Grace Toney of Washington, DC; one grandson, Matthew Bryan Toney; and her half-brother, Lewis Vaughn of Mississippi. Her parents preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday June 2, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service conducted by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday June 3, 2006, at Grace Episcopal Church. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the Church or S.T.O.P.
