Patricia Ann Lozier, 70, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2013 at her home. Daughter of Helen (Glowa) and Walter J. Coady, she was born September 27, 1942 in Mansfield and resided in Mansfield most of her adult life and graduated from Madison High School in 1960.
She was employed at the 179th Airlift Wing in various positions and retired as secretary to the commander of the 179th Airlift Wing having worked at the guard base for over 32 years. She and her husband published a monthly newsletter sent to retirees of the 179th and when her husband, Ralph, passed away she became the editor of the Shadow Flight Newsletter, sent to over 350 retired members. In addition, she was Membership Chairman and Registration Clerk for the Shadow Flight reunions. Pat was previously a member of Grace Episcopal Church and later, the First Baptist Church in Ashland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Lozier and her parents, Walter and Helen Coady. She is survived by her two sons, Brian (Bonnie) Schulties of SC and Barry Schulties of SC; three grandsons, Jason, Brent (Amy) and Nathan; a great-granddaughter, Cassandra; and a great-grandson, Parker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. F.R. "Butch" White of First Baptist Church of Ashland officiating. Cremation and private burial will be next to her husband, Ralph, in Grace Episcopal Church Parish Columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Living Memorial Fund or First Baptist Church, Ashland, Ohio.
