Norman J. Armstrong, age 80, of 360 Wood Street, died Wednesday July 7, 2004 at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, Ohio. Mr. Armstrong was born February 10, 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was a member of First Assembly of God. Mr. Armstrong was a veteran of the United States Navy. While in the service of his country, Mr. Armstrong was awarded one Silver star and two Bronze stars for his valor during the second World War.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; four sons, Mike, Jerry, Tom and Bruce Armstrong; four step-daughters, Carol Cordrey, Mary Inez Sherman, Connie Moton and Linda Gonquer; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Louise Ryan Armstrong.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Michael N. Armstrong. Burial will be in Pavonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God.
