Nellie R. Hensley Holloway, 68, of Mansfield, died September 8, 2004, at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Nellie has lovingly gone home to be with her Lord after an extended illness. She was born May 7, 1936, in Lawrence County, Kentucky to the late Eugene and Leona Miller Hensley, moving to the Mansfield area in 1954. She was a full time mother and wife who enjoyed quilting, homemaking, shopping at Wal-Mart and spending quality time with her family and only grandchild. Nellie was a loving woman, who opened her heart and home to everyone. Her family and friends will remember her as a bright, warm, gracious and giving woman who was always there for others.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence Holloway; two sons, Gale Holloway of Canton and Michael Holloway of Mansfield; a daughter, Pamela Holloway Sauder of Mansfield; a special granddaughter, McKayla Sauder of Mansfield; a sister, Hattie Williams of Louisa, Kentucky; many loving nieces and nephews; her wonderful church family; and a special friend, Susan Feldman of New York City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Faye Graves and Estie Graves; and three brothers, Chester, Eugene and Cecil Hensley.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, September 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Don Smith. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
