Michael "Mike" Shockley, 60, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 18, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born March 31, 1957, in Crestline, Ohio, to Richard and Carol (Gerberich) Shockley.
Mike was a salesman for Albright Welding Supply and served as Past President of the American Welding Society, Columbus Section. Mike's passion was welding and he was fascinated with anything involving robots or welding. He attended Crossroads Community Church and had a special place in his heart reserved for the friendship of God's animals.
He married the love of his life, Jody Luedy, on November 1, 1980. Mike was a family man and enjoyed taking day trips and visiting Amish country with his wife. They were always looking for an interesting place to eat and make special memories. Mike followed the activities of his nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews closely. They could always count on seeing his face in the crowd, supporting them unconditionally.

(Erin) Luedy, Andrew (Sarah) Gerber, Logan (Whitney) Scheurer, Jacquelyn Luedy, Krista (Brian) Schmidt, and Kelly (Doug) Anschutz; and one great-niece and several great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Shockley and mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Viola Luedy.
