He was a graduate of Madison High School and The Ohio State University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was a free spirited guy but also humble, determined and passionate with a quick wit who was wise beyond his years. He loved playing guitar and was a great dancer. He enjoyed basketball whether it was playing or following his favorite sports teams - the Kentucky Wildcats and The Ohio State Buckeyes and also enjoyed following the Cincinnati Reds. He was a wonderful cook and was known for his milk toast which was a favorite of his family.
He is survived by a son, Tyler (Kelli) Doran; a daughter, Elizabeth Doran; his mother, Barbara Doran; a sister, Beth Foltz; a brother, Matt (Tina) Doran; grandchildren, Taylor, Cohen and Isabella; nieces and nephews, Kacia, Colton, Alexandra and Matthew; and a son at heart, Little Mark.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016, from 12-8 p.m. at Malabar Farms, Pugh Log Cabin, 4050 Bromfield Road, Lucas, Ohio. Please feel free to stop by and pay your respects at any time during the day. The family will hold a special time of remembrance at 5:00 p.m. which will include a time of open sharing. Food and drink are provided all day and dress is casual. Please join us as we celebrate and remember Mark. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Mission of Ohio Homeless Shelter, 245 N. Grant Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or to the family in care of the funeral home to defray funeral and life celebration expenses.
