Linda Fay Stamper, age 63, passed away early Friday morning, March 4, 2022, at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. She had a long battle with several illnesses, but now is happy and free to be with the Lord and her family and friends whom have passed before her.
She was born July 2, 1958, in Huntsville, Alabama. Loved being outside before her health made it too difficult. She loved the outdoors, fishing and swimming. Prior to her health limitations, Linda enjoyed visiting friends. After her illnesses, her hobbies became word book puzzles, coloring, and assembling puzzles. An animal lover, she was a member of the SPCA and Global Animal Rescue.
Linda is survived by a sister, Glenda (Gary) Duncan; brother, Matthew Frye Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Stamper; son, David Mathews; mother and father, Reba L. (Spraggins) and Matthew Frye; biological father, Robert Thurston Mathews Jr.; two sisters, Brenda Mathews and Denise Carroll; nephew, Jonathan Rose; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service conducted by Pastor James Taylor will follow at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Global Animal Rescue or the SPCA.
