Linda had previously worked retail at Lawson’s with her mother, Betty. She was also a cook in the deli department at Cornell’s in Shelby where she later retired from. After retirement, she enjoyed helping her son, Joe, on his paper route. Linda loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandson, Jacob. She also loved caring for her St. Bernard dogs, Harlee and Hugo. She enjoyed shopping trips to Amish country and taking trips to Florida. A devoted Christian at heart, Linda was a woman of faith and loved Jesus.
She is survived by her sons, Travis Powell and Joe Powell; step-daughters, Heather Tabor, Amanda Kinney and Kelly Beard; daughter-in-law, Geneva Smith-Powell; grandson, Jacob Powell; sisters, Connie (Carl) Woodring and Sue (Joe) Feeney; special niece, Rhonda (Tim) Bays; father of her children, Ray Powell; and many other cherished family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Germann and sister, Debbie (Bill) Hampton.
Private services will be held for the family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Wappner Funeral Directors – Mansfield is honored to serve the family.
