Larry O. "Buzz" Sapp, Jr., 54, of Mansfield, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at his home. He was born October 25, 1960 in Mansfield. Buzz was the "Jack-of-all trades" who was creative and always coming up with things like MacGyver. He took his job in constructions seriously, but that was the only thing he took seriously. With his quick wit and fun loving spirit, it was impossible to be in a bad mood when you were around Buzz. He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar, always making up different rhymes and songs. Buzz was often found with chocolate or a scratch off ticket in his hand. He loved all the kids in the family and was always there when his family needed him. There will be no one else like Buzz.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Hunt) Sapp; daughters, Shauna Sapp and Tabby Sapp; step son, Michael Hunt; grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Aiden, Devon, and Bryce; father and step mother, Larry O. and Joan Sapp, Sr.; siblings, Rob Sapp, Tonya Shears, Brian Sapp, Bradley Sapp, Meloney Smith-Wilson, Brandon Sapp, Jeffrey Sapp, Brenda Fredericks, Shelby Sapp, and Kenny Lawhorn, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and his puppies, Madison, Sadie, and Shea.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Kenneth Lawhorn, Sr.; twin children, Joshua and LaDawn Sapp; and his best friend, Marvin Lambert.
