Kevin D. Robinson

Kevin D. Robinson, 56, of Bucyrus, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born November 27, 1962 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, he was the son of James and Shirley Jean (Billings) Robinson.

Kevin was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving for a total of 5 1/5 years as a radio operator, with three years served in Germany. He was employed at Cooper Tire in Findlay and had previously worked at Westinghouse-Tappan in Mansfield and Anchor Swan in Bucyrus. Kevin attended New Covenant Fellowship Church in Leesville, Ohio and enjoyed spending time at Put-in-Bay, Port Clinton and Marietta where he loved walking with his wife, Elaine. They enjoyed family trips to North Carolina and the lake at Pleasant Hill, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Elaine (Slone) Robinson; their son, Kevin Robinson, Jr.; their daughter, Clistia Robinson; grandsons, Cameron Wright and Israel Chatman; his in-laws, Charles and Glessie Slone; three sisters, Teresa (Rob) Harbison, Galene (Jeff) Staley and Erica Robinson; half sister, Kathy (Rick) Elledge; three nephews, Max Elledge, Jared Staley and Sean Vanmeter; brothers-in-law, Ed (Judy) Slone and Marty (Stacia) Slone; and sister-in-law, Kristie (David) Blackwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Elmore; and his grandparents, John and Nellie Billings.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at New Covenant Fellowship Church in Leesville, Ohio conducted by Pastor Wayne Harris.
