Kenneth Earl Adkins

Kenneth was born on January 20, 1938 in Portsmouth, OH. He was the son of Earl and Helen (Ward) Adkins. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as a tank commander. He was a member of Gold Prospector's Association of America and he enjoyed panning gold. Being outdoors, camping and fishing was one of Kenneth's favorite places.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Tammy (Jeff) Schnuerer, Timothy (Tracy) Adkins, Kenneth (Lora) Adkins, and Jason Adkins; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and extended family; and his life partner, Georgia Dowell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Adkins; his sister, Carol Jean Whisman; his grandson, Keneth Adkins; his granddaughter, Jerrica Adkins; and a great-grandson, Wesley Fogle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ridgeway First Church of God, 1380 Park Ave. East, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 4:00 pm. Pastor John Dodds will conduct the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the church food pantry.
